Preparing for Camerons 3rd birthday!

Cameron is obsessed with the movie Cars, and since the new movie Cars 2 just came out it is going to make it super easy to find some cooool birthday stuff for him!!! I have been looking online for idea's for his party and really got on a roll one day! Etsy has so manyyy cool things I found that I am going to use!
Also, a friend of mine makes cakes and she said that she would like to make Camerons. She found the PERFECT cake today so I just have to share it!

Here is what the cake will look similar to!

I'm also going to order a few of these just because they are OH so cute!!! They're "cake pops"

Here is a picture of Cameron's halloween costume and Bday outfit for the party!

and because I love to have them match :) Gracie is getting a Cars outfit too!

Here will be his bday banner!

And his b-day invitation is a pit pass! Ah! I found these on Etsy.com and just about died, love them!

Cameron will obviously have the red invite!

Here is a link to Cameron's b-day wish list at toysrus:
This is just to use a reference as to what type of toys he needs or would like.
I am trying to get him more learning "pre-school" type toys as he has become
very interested in learning!
Thanks!!

Such a crazy life!

Here is a little update on the kiddies!
Cameron: He is learning so many new words lately, it is fun to hear it all come together! Nick still looks to me to translate for him sometimes though, but it's just because I am constantly around Cameron so even when I don't know exactly what he is saying I can still anticipate his needs enough to put it together! I have been working with him on his counting and he can count to three lol he doesn't like 4 and will skip on to five. It's so fun being his mommy, but he is a lot, by the end of the day I am ready for his bedtime! Such a hyper-active little boy, but with a heart of gold!! He will kiss and hug you to your hearts content. For a long time I could NOT get him to look at the camera, in fact if he knew you were going to take his picture he'd turn his head and say NO! For the past few days however, he is giving me fake "cheese" smiles when I ask him to. They are seriously funny!!!!!

The other day while I was doing the dishes I hear music playing in the kids play area so I turn my head and this is what I found!!!

Find a few good buddies and start a band!! lol

Theres that fake cheesey smile again! lol

These past few weeks have meant A LOT of progress for miss Gracie girl! By the time she hit 6 months she was sitting up very well, not perfectly, but very well! She made 7 months today and can now, sit up perfectly, crawl, and pull herself up on everything!!!!!!!!!!!!! eeek! I really thought I had a couple more months!! goodness... She is showing me daily that I need to vaccum and move things up to a higher shelf. Her favorite thing to go to is the Blu Ray player, but of course there is Cameron (the police) telling her "no no sassie" lol and if she doesn't listen (which she never does) then here comes Cameron looking for mommy to tattle on Gracie. I am seriously loving life right now!! The dynamic between those two is comical to say the least!! Here are some pictures of her doing big girl things! :)

A week or so ago I started pumping and adding 2 oz of baby formula to supplement, and since then I can tell she has gained some weight! This is a funny picture of how she holds her bottle!
and yes, those are jeggings (jean leggings) lol Love how cute she looks in them!

On Saturday we went to a very good friends going away party at the lake, we all had so much fun. It is going to be so hard saying good bye to them... :(
I guess it is just apart of the military life, but I just hope it gets easier. Or at least hope I don't keep my heart so guarded from making more amazing friends. All I know is this is the part I hate... Goodbyes...

Family visit!

We are so fortunate enough to have so many family members come visit us as often as we do! It really helps with the whole homesickness thing. It's fun to show everyone New Orleans, as it is a city unlike any other lol. Whenever anyone comes down it is all about the fishing and the food! I think Nick and I get our cajun fix for the month every visit! This was the first time Nick's brother, Alex and Sam came to visit. Along with Sam's girlfriend Katlin. We had so much fun walking dowtown, going on a swamp tour and then 4th of July fireworks on the levy finished up their last night!

If you ever get the chance I highly recomend going on a swamp tour!!! We had a blast and our guide was terrific with Cameron, letting him sit in the captains seat, stear the wheel, and hold a baby aligator!! We made memories to last a lifetime!

Their last night in town was the 4th of July, so we went down to the levy to watch the big fire works show! It was increadible, unfortunately, again this year Cameron wasn't a fan :( Gracie did very well but so did Cameron at her age. So hopefully it gets better with time!
